Our Mission
The mission of D.O.V.E.S., Inc. is to assist victims of domestic violence by providing free educational and supportive services for their safety and empowerment so they may move freely and securely toward safe and self-determined living. D.O.V.E.S. honors a victim's right, ability and need to learn, live and love from authentic choices within their intimate relationships and to do so without threat or receipt of violence.
Our Philosophy
D.O.V.E.S., Inc. embraces the belief that everyone has the right to live free of relationship violence and exercise free moral agency. The program's philosophy is to support victims' rights and inform them of their choices for change: not make those changes for them. It is a philosophy of empowerment that assists toward independence rather than of rescue that encourages dependency; one that respects a person's right to choose what is best for them.
Our Goals
The goals of the program are to affect local policies, practices and perceptions affecting domestic violence victims through educational endeavors, public awareness campaigns and cooperative service partnerships throughout the community.
